Spay and Neuter in Elgin, IL
At Animal Care Clinic of Randall Pointe, we believe in the importance of neutering or spaying cats and dogs. Ideally, a spay or neuter is done early in life. We recommend spaying and neutering at 6 months of age but will make recommendations based on each individual pet. This safe surgery can provide them with a long and healthy life. You can rest assured your companion is in good hands, as our doctors perform these surgeries regularly.
In addition to preventing overpopulation, there are many additional long-term health benefits this procedure has for your pets. Spaying your female dogs and cats will reduce the risk of uterus infections and breast tumors and eliminate heat cycles. Neutering male dogs and cats reduces territorial behavior such as excessive urination, decreases risk of testicular or prostate cancer, and eliminates the desire to leave the house and wander.
Spayed and neutered pets can live a longer, healthier life.
