Dr. Jessica (Jess) Schwartz
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
“Veterinary medicine is both a challenging and rewarding field. My favorite part about being a veterinarian is that I help animals become healthier than when they walked in the door and bring worried pet owners’ minds to ease.”
Dr. Jessica was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois in 2019 and loved it there so much that she stayed for four more years to receive a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023. During her time in undergrad, she was a teaching assistant and did nutritional research on the University’s dairy farm. She is a member of the American Veterinarian Medical Association as well.
The best part of veterinary medicine is helping and working with both animals and people. Dr. Jessica’s goal is to treat your pets with the same care as her own. She enjoys the process of communicating with pet owners to ensure your companion receives the best care possible and your concerns are met. She has a special interest in gastrointestinal microbiome, nutrition, internal medicine, and surgery.
Dr. Jessica loves to travel and hike with her 3-year-old standard poodle Reese and 1-year-old golden retriever Mack. She enjoys badminton, tennis, and long-distance running – last year she completed her first Chicago half-marathon!
